Kindergarten Division
The purpose of this division is to be a developmental recreational league with a focus on developing fundamental skills and a basic understanding of basketball rules while keeping the fun of the game for the athletes. As a developmental recreational league, no score or standings are kept.
1st and 2nd Grade Division
The purpose of this division is to be an introduction to competitive play. The focus should be on improving the confidence and comfort with the basketball while also introducing players to basic situational concepts. Having players play in multiple positions is encouraged. Teamwork becomes a more prevalent strategy.
3rd and 4th Grade Division
The purpose of this division is to be a continuation of fundamental skills developmental with a higher focus on the team and situational awareness. Introduction to advanced basketball skills begins and players begin to develop greater basketball IQ. Play in multiple positions still encouraged for overall basketball development. Teams will play an 8 game season.
5th and 6th Grade Division
The purpose of this division is to focus on continuing to develop fundamental skills while increasing court and situational awareness. Players begin defining their key skill positions.
7th and 8th Grade
Players begin defining their key skill positions. They will extend their court awareness and learn different play implementations.
